The UK Babe Channels really annoy me as they all have so much potential to be so much better. Ofcourse a lot of the downfall has been in part because of ofcom but we can't use that as a viable excuse for churning out constant mediocrity.
Once again looking through the channels tonight it's obvious for all to see that they are sadly lacking in any kind of ideas, inspiration or spontaneity. I was impressed with Babestation for a while but they seem to have toned it down the last week or 2.
I never take a great nights entertainment for granted anymore. In the past we were spoilt. The channels are all very much victims of their previous success. With regards to some of my recordings I can assure you I've got hours of endless material stored away on VHS
I think this is the difficult thing to convey to anyone who has only seen the shows over the past couple of years. The sheer lift, energy and power of real competition Bangbabes engendered in their main rivals when they arrived on the scene was truly something to behold.
But, of course we need to remember how Bangbabes crashed and burned. No one starting a babe channel is going to want to emulate
that part! So Sin TV have a very careful balancing act to carry out. But
please can we see some true energy and daring from the newbies. Who knows what kind of revival such a threat to the status quo might ignite.
Ofcom are only partly to blame for the current malaise and stagnation amongst the channels. They have all become far too comfortable taking their current market share month after month. No one rocks the boat. No one steps out of line because that might upset what they all have had for so long now.
This market is crying out for fresh vibrant competition. Sin TV might just fit the bill. If only they have the balls to carry it through.

With one exception I missed those. Awwww.

Bang continued to blatantly break the rules even after Ofcom had told them complaints were being investigated, did not respond when asked to give their side in investigations then did not pay the fines. That's three stages at which a new channel has control of the situation and could back away from the flames.
Either the channels are waiting until 3am to go a bit more wild, or Ofcom has made them their little bitch again
Babestation so far tonight has been as tame as RLC has been lately.

A few months ago a show on a channel that I wont name - its a shame that discussion is inhibited like this - made me sit up and take notice. The good times are back I thought. There was genuine if unseen fingering, lesbianism, even suggestive toy play. There was even a hint that it could go further, though I took that with the usual pinch of salt.
Fool that I am I kept tuning in to that channel, only to be disappointed time and again. The particular set of circumstances did not happen again until about a month later, and again a couple of weeks after that - but it was nowhere near as hot.
Finally the penny dropped. The good times were not back. The hot show was no more typical than a hot sunny day in summer. It was no more than a one off marketing ploy to pull in fools like me. And it worked.
But now we are back to safe play. Football without those nasty goals at either end. Non contact rugby. Boxing with safety helmets and no head punches. Babe shows without sex or pussy.
What next? Water down Tennents Extra Strength? Encourage supermarkets to sell wine mixed with grape juice to lower the strength? Horror films rewritten by social workers to give them happen endings (no pun intended) and make them suitable for family viewing? Speed limits lowered to 20mph? Ben Nevis sanded down to a more gentle slope so no one gets hurt? Social worker messages at the end of popular TV soaps?

Not my field in any way but i have read and seen quite a bit about the re-using of archive TV. Nowadays, repeats from regular programmes are automatically okayed as far as the actors/presenters are concerned by an agreement with equity.
I wouldn't have thought there would be anything like that for the babe shows so a possible stumbling block to any babe archive channel may be the original contracts the girl's signed at the time. They could well have been for the live broadcast of the material only.
In which case an archive channel would not only have to pay the copyright owners of the footage - the channel's (former) owners presumably* - but may well also have to renegotiate with the girls themselves.
That would be a costly and time consuming excercise for a channel with such a niche market in mind.
IMO, the best we can hope for is that a current channel have provision for such use and dump most of their back-catalogue online at some point. (It is perhaps telling that little of this stuff has made it on to official sites so far.)
* Remarkably, ownership can get murky very quickly after a channel is dissolved.

Yeah the shows on the telly tonight may be so so but I'm really enjoying the hot 2 for 1 currently taking place on the unleashed show so all is not lost
Hardly worth all those z's. For a Sunday this is pretty good - it's a good lineup on BS with Sophie, Ashley and Lily Roma. There should be enough to please the S66 fans too.
Admittedly it's not full on but it's not bore draw type either. I've known plenty of Sundays to go down the tubes a lot worse than this.
