Notwithstanding I do like some of the women mentioned in the post to which you responded (5769).

Anyone else feel like most of the time when they log onto the channels now, there's max 2, more often 0, girls you actually wanna phone or cam with?

And even from those only a handful actually do anything worth camming for?

It's an absolutely shocking state of affairs.

Absolutely gutting.

^ The channels - the pitiful amount left of them - are not channels anymore. (XP to my mind was always an outlier, not really embracing the concept full on. Its timidity of output somehow baked in to its cheap and cheerful business model. The Primark of the shows!) BS (otoh) has morphed into the ultimate modern operator monster. Its virtual monoply, predictably, a mere excuse to double down on a trend in output that began a good while back: Straggly line-ups padded and patched with loads of also-rans (harsh but true in the same tone as their OptionOne podcast is often harsh about "some" fans) in an effort to mask the lack of a solid core to much of its schedule.

Its now a camming operation masquerading as something else. In fact, the channels stopped being the channels once they allowed the babes total control over their output (privates taking them off TV was the turning point for me). The shows lost their identity, their USP and eventually - most recently - their reason for being. I mean think about it: Why does the punter (provided he's not a one babe obsessive) need BS specifically now? 99% of the stuff that dominates there can be found all over the web. Often with more friendly, empathetic babes doing it!

Their babes need BS because it provides a cache (living off its brand recognition created for doing something quite different btw) for those who like a certain paywall dominant way of working. They are granted an elevated spotlight by working there and (if they fit in) by being on its TV. But what BS itself provides the punter is now pretty much a nothing. It could be operated from someone's back bedroom in terms of what the TV/studio adds for the majority of punters. Pure bait and lure it is. And not very good bait most of the time. This is because studio shows are no longer really their own thing. They only exist in order to facilitate other output.

TV is ALL about visibility and profile for BS babes now (putting aside the guaranteed hourly wage) . Very little more than that. Essential (look at all the failed operators that tried to be web only) grease to the wheel, yes. But not 'the business end,' with anything anyone looking in could really get off to.

In doing all this, BS plays to a market that I'm no longer much interested in. I know I'm not alone in thinking this way too. But it seems there's not enough £ in what guys like me wanna see, or there's not enough babes that wish to provide it, to make it happen anymore. That time looks to be well and truly in the past... And, tbh, it really is time to move on.

Priti and Priya: they were never very good back in the day and they have not improved with age. Why are they still boring us?

Alice Goodwin: a very attractive girl who makes no effort to entertain.

Sophie Hart: She gives the impression that she cannot really be bothered any more.

I would say Ryuken, I agree, the concept of the channels has irrevocably changed. I used to look foward to watching the shows after a night out for maybe an hour before bed, and think the BS shows of the past were far more entertaining than they are now, and when I watch the streams I think the babes now pretty much are the ones that dictate which direction the shows they do go in.
As for BS I think they have always probably been the dominant one, and they have seen off pretty much all that tried to challenge them. XP to me, - even though the girls look great - I feel they hold themselves back by not allowing caps of shows and also having the odd behind the scenes ruck come to light, and are probably still a good few light years behind BS. Whether XP has the capacity to catch up to BS' level remains to be seen. I like to see that happen, but I don't think XP will find the means to really challenge BS to a point where BS would be looking over their shoulders collectively. I would say that without TV as an output, you can suddenly limit yourself as to the size of the audince you capture.

When I lookk at Bluedbird/Playboy and even SIN TV, I feel what made them stand out differently was their set concepts, They tried sets that offered interaction, whereas BS & XP stick to the tried & trusted and maybe safe concept of beds with the odd office set on BS and I've yet to see the alley set. I would like to see (I know it won't happen) more variety in sets on both - and that would be great in XP's case - it probably would be be a game changer in their business model.

I feel that when S66 tried to go "web only" it was a bold move but they showed if you if you didn't get the concept right from the very start how easily it can implode.

I agree thor, it would be nice to see BS freshen up their Friday and Saturday night TV roster a bit.

BS won't get rid of the Twins, Alice and Sophie because they're some of their highest earning babes.

The Twins, Alice and Sophie won't leave BS because it's an easy way for them to make a lot of money quickly.

I think the interactive aspect of the channels has stayed the same, but it's just evolved with technology.

The FTA satellite TV and calls shows of the past may have been more entertaining to punters that just wanted to watch.

But the current online era of VIP membership, vibetoys, pervcam and tip goals are more profitable to the channels and babes.

Before it was about sexually enticing punters to call. Now it's about lazily begging for buzzes and privates.

The babes can dictate the direction of their shows, it's up to punters if they want to pay for it.

BS have been living off just their name recognition alone for a very long time. The other channels were just run even more ineptly.

XP will always be behind BS, and it's not because they don't allow their vids and caps to be posted on here.

XP just don't make enough money to compete BS' 100+ roster of babes and various studio locations across the country.

Poppy May said on the option one podcast that XP are constantly pushing their babes to keep making money.

It's no longer about maximizing the number of TV viewers in the UK. That's why BS are on stripchat and streamate.

They're looking to gain punters from all over the world now, via the internet and get punters from MFC and CB.

Teenage punters in the UK probably watch the channels mostly on their phones. Where as punters that are pensioners probably watch on freeview.

The channels need that new next generation of punters.

Sets previously didn't have to take into consideration a babe needing to use a mouse, keyboard and pervcam.

So that why every set now is either based around a chair or bed. Before all they needed was a phone.

Now every babe needs to reply to every question and compliment they get in the chatbox from punters.

S66 's failure was partially down to them making their website PPV. If it was FTA they might've survived longer.

Because I don't think it's that hard to connect smart TVs to the internet, phones or computers.

So punters could still watch it on their TVs if they still wanted too.

At the end of the day it's all about the channels and babes making as much money as possible.

All we can do is pay the babes we like, to do the stuff we like.
