It feels like punters have become even more ego driven and competitive, since the introduction of tip goals and leaderboards.
Now it's about spending tens of thousands of pounds more than any other punter, and bantering in the chatbox with the babes and Mr P.
^ The channels promote an environment of multiple evocative stimuli; they do so with a determined deliberation (despite occasional missteps). We are the targets, the marks. A receptive audience at best; an audience complicit in its own downfall at worst (given how often we patently ignore evidence of channel duplicity and exploitation).
A babe may not
care for what you are feeling but a savvy one certainly cares for what it can promote in you.
Insiders work to this knowledge of our psyche and culpability... First off, any babe is given relatively limited screen time, forming an exclusivity demand (meaning guys will often have to vye for a babe's attentions). An increasing prominence of private sessions does more of the same (the more privates there are, the more guys are encouraged to believe that's the only way to go). Then, payers are manipulated to see the channels' erotic and sensual outputs as mixed with the ready chance of reciprocal romance or at least a 'relationship' of heightened affection (incredulous it may be that so many punters see it that way but the evidence is there almost every time we venture on to chat). This heady mix makes for a hell of a lot of punter purchases that are mostly emotion led (i.e. ones of lesser rationality and logic than might otherwise be the case).
In promoting these things the shows also evocate one of the most primal forces going: Inter-male competition for the female; and thus are a stimulus to the manifestation of various jealously-type behaviours in chat and in terms of credit use (i.e. clicks for attention made not for the punter's own satisfaction
per se but to block/spoil other guys' access or for the purposes of 'sexual display' - look at the size of my wallet/spending power in essence
).
As you so rightly say ryuken, operators in the modern era have crafted their show formats and websites with these specifics of interaction in mind. The customer options therein are designed to push these buttons in a guy. (BS' leaderboards for tippers is indeed the prime example here, serving little other purpose
except to stimulate competition between punters.)
Pure and simple: Babeland is made up of tawdry glitter palaces designed to delude and befuddle the punter, and ultimately to fleece him of his coin. Its effectiveness in this can be hindered by insiders' abilities and/or a babe's self imposed restrictions on what she'll do at work but, it's for sure, they have a good feel for what drives their audience generally. Some of us might wish they were less cynical, played things straighter, but its virtually impossible to argue that, so far, there are more than enough guys falling for it to justify them playing it the way they do - at least from a business pov.
Just before driving into work this morning, I spent about 30 minutes on Chaturbate, and was thinking to myself as I drove in, how much better the experience was in terms of value for money, technical quality, erotic content and integrity, than the Babechannels.
The only thing I think is lacking on CB for me at the moment - it’s probably there if you spend enough time there to build it up – is the sense of camaraderie with familiar people in the chat. The fact that it’s a global platform whereas 66 et al are firmly UK domestic (despite of course being visible across the globe) might be a factor in that.
I do think it depends on the type of show the girl puts on, and if her mods can keep the creepy types under control, but yeah, I agree.
Sure there are plenty of scammers to avoid, but there are a ton of great girls who have a genuine fun time chatting with their viewers, don't expect the earth in tips for doing nothing, make up fun games etc and when it's show time, knock it out of the park. The world needs less self entitled princesses, no names. lol.
A good example of somebody who gets it right, Lily Adair
https://liveshows.chaturbate.com/x_lily_x/ I think she's awesome
Also has a good fan base.
Excellent posts from Shandy, Rake and Skully in various respects. A combination of useful, accurate and informative.
Thank you guys.
These are all very good pointers for the new and the old customers and the profile users in the forum should give themselves a pat on the backs.babes and the channels are only here to to get as money out of each and everyone of us who contributes to these shows. Everyone should remember that it's a service that your watching. Yes some babes love to chat to viewers while doing there shows in which helps customers to join in and spend credits. Some customers do go to the extreme on some babes in either splashing the credits and trying to look like the on screen babe pimp in the chatrooms. A person using a babe channel is only as good as there contribution to that channel babe last show if you have a favourite channel babe. Enjoy the shows and the company that your watching pay in what you can truly afford. Most channel babes will understand that not everyone has got funds to spend on every show. But also look at it like a rocking chair as u watch these shows it gives us something to do but it won't get you anywhere

I must breathe to live, but I do not live to breathe.
Likewise, any business must make a profit, but making a profit is not its purpose. Starbucks, MacDonald’s and Ikea all make large profits. But their business is, respectively, coffee, burgers and furniture (…and meatballs, for some reason).
A babeshow babe must earn tips, buzzes and credits to stay in business, but her business is not to earn tips, buzzes and credits. Her business is the creation of a fantasy. The constant shakedown and panhandling for money — when it is so loud and persistent — only serves to wreck the fantasy. I’m not morally against it; I just think it’s bad for business.
I can’t remember who I stole this from, so I will claim it as my own.
^ Brilliantly put. Should be printed out and put on the dressing room wall of every channel!
