Having never played her before there is no psychological scar of defeat by her in the past either. Jo can go into the match with a vibrant, philosophical, no fear approach which is useful. Give it everything and see what happens.
If she wins she will be a hero and if she loses nobody will bat an eyelid as Serena is the favourite to win anyway.
Konta has everything to gain and relatively little to lose aside from one rounds worth of ranking points she is defending from last years semi final berth.
