The GB Davis Cup team played and won their first tie in the new Davis Cup format in Madrid. Andy Murray won his singles match in 3rd set tiebreak, Dan Evans lost his singles match before Jamie Murray/Neal Skupski won the tie in the doubles match

GB are in the semi finals of the Davis Cup after beating Germany. They will face either Argentina or Spain in the semis on Saturday.
