In US Open 1st round Kyle Edmund lost to Lorenzi in 4 sets. After winning the 1st set he started cramping at 5-4 down in second set and although he played a decent 3rd set, the 4th went away from him very quickly and he lost 6-4, 4-6, 5-7, 1-6

Heather Watson after winning 3 matches in qualifying lost a tight 3 set match to EKaterina Makarova 1-6,6-3, 3-6

FFS annoyed

Bugger!!! I've just spent 15 mins trawling through all the channels looking for it.

I could understand Amazon getting the rights as well as a commercial channel but not the sole rights.
^ yeah that surprised me as well as when Sky Sports had the exclusive rights they allowed Eurosport to have live games in first week and highlights the second week.

Jo Konta has gone out 6-2, 6-2 to Caroline Garcia
Cameron Norrie is through to second round winning in 4th sets
I think Konta has had difficult year which is a shame she has shown promise of being one of our best female tennis players for a long while. To see her form desert her isn't nice. I very much hope she can get a few months off to rest up and recuperate and think about Australian Open 2019 being place to start all over again
^ Konta reminds me of Genie Bouchard who had a great 12 months back in 2014 and then has struggled with the expectation that having such a great year brought and is only now getting back to somewhere like that kind of form
No Andy or Kyle in GB Davis Cup squad for World Group relegation tie in Glasgow
Serena's date with destiny is back on, just needing to beat Naomi Osaka to win the US Open etc. Osaka is the first Japanese female Grand Slam finalist since Kimiko Date from yonks ago.
The hyped Nadal-Djokovic US Open final fell apart like Nadal's knee, so Novak will face del Potro. Apparently this is the latter's first Grand Slam final for NINE years. I get there's only 4 a year, and Fed, Nad and Djok (and Andy Murray) will have filled up many of those, and he's had injury issues, but it still seems incredible that he hasn't made it that far in so long.
If Del Potro plays his best game it could be an excellent final.
Jamie Murray alongside Bethanie Matek Sands has retained the US Open Mixed Doubles 2-6, 6-3, 11-9 having won title with the now retired Martina Hingis last year
