Well done to Muller Smile

Pity that the open women's draw means Konta is the 2nd top ranked seed left, and has to play Halep, the top 1 Sad But hey, who knows, right?
Konta has a chance against Halep imo for sure. Certainly not impossible.
The womens tournament is very intriguing.
I was tentatively leaning towards thinking Venus Williams might win but it is very open in all honesty and Williams next faces French Open champ Ostapenko so who knows.
Pretty much any of the last eight have a chance.

Federer continues to cruise along with undue fuss in the mens dismissing Dimitrov in straight sets.
I find it very hard to see him coming unstuck but sport can throw up surprises. Never say never and all that Wink. Should be an interesting climax to the championships for sure. I'm sitting firmly on the fence Big Grin.
I think the womens draw always brings up surprises in all 4 of the tennis majors and with Wimbledon being no different. Always see some of the top seeds being knocked out in early rounds which leaves this tournament open for any of the 8 women left in the draw, although be nice to see Konta win it but won't be easy at all.

As for the men it's way more predictable you know that at least one of the big 4 will get to the final. So always nice to see the odd surprise here an there when any of them lose. I was expecting to see the big 4 get to semi final this year and with how good they all playing would of give 2 very good semi finals. But Federer is looking very good to win Wimbledon but looks like best final we could get in mens draw now would be Federer/Murray although still some good players left in draw.
Rafa showed all his traditional fight to get back to 2-2 after dropping the first two sets. But against a solid server like Gilles Muller it wasn't enough. A big surprise but Wimbledon is the slam where those surprises can happen, and where they have happened before to Rafa - grass is such a game changer and gives the underdogs more opportunities. A serve-dominated quarter final with Cilic awaits next for Muller, might just come down to literally one or two points. I reckon Cilic in four sets with at least two of them long tiebreaks.

In a repeat of last year's semi final, Raonic could again be a problem for Federer in Wednesday's quarter finals. Federer swept aside Dimitrov in straight sets for the loss of just ten games while Raonic was made to toil for four hours against Zverev, but I suspect the Canadian will push Federer further. I hope Roger can find a way through but it will almost certainly have to be in four or five.

Big Sam (Querrey not Allardyce Wink ) next for Murray. I expect a close first set which could go either way, but Murray to get more comfortable as the match goes on. Not writing off the American, whose huge serves and groundstrokes will get even more pace on the grass. But Murray should come through.

Djokovic will thrash Mannarino today and then still be too good for Berdych who was solid in five sets against Thiem. But the Czech's game doesn't match up well to Djokovic and then the expected semi-final with Federer will sort out the champion from the mere contender.

I've gone for Konta, Ostapenko, Rybarikova and Muguruza to win in the women's quarter finals. At least three of those selections are probably the underdog bets but as I said, the grass at Wimbledon allows those kind of surprises to happen.
I'm surprised given how early the Federer match finished on Centre Court and Nadal match going to fifth set that they didn't look to move Djokovic match to get it done under the roof where they can play up to 11pm
