Let's see if James Ward can join Andy Murray in 1st round of US Open, he plays final round qualifying match soon. He lost in final qualifying round last year so hope he succeeds this year.

Also hoping James McGee of Ireland wins and gets into his 1st , 1st round of a Grand Slam. He missed out in final qualifying round at French Open this year so hope he can go 1 better this time

James Ward lost in 3 sets in last qualifying round. He was in control having taken 2nd set when the rain came.and couldn't find that form when play resumed and lost 1-6, 6-3, 2-6

Ivan Lendl has given more details as to why he split with Andy Murray.
He blames extra family commitments and a dislike of travelling and perminently living in hotel rooms.

Maria Sharapova came back from being a set down yesterday.
She won it 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
