A semi-finalist against an unseeded Czech sounds too easy to be true, but her oppo must have some skills to have got this far, so presumably if Konta treats her the same as she did Stephens and the rest then she could make the final.

Where Halep/Keys/etc await

How does Jo compare to the likes of Jo Durie, Virginia Wade and Sue Barker? Is it possible she is the best women's player we've had for a long time?

Halep is the one to beat I would say.
She has an excellent track record at Roland Garros. But Keys is no slouch either. If Konta makes the final it would be quite a challenge for her.

Jo's semi final delayed until Friday now, hopefully an extra day off may give her a further edge

Yeah a complete washout in Paris today. More rain is forecast for Friday so scheduling could be further compromised.

Halep has been walloped. 6-2, 6-3 by Amanda Anisimova.

In theory Konta will never have a better opportunity to win a slam.
Theory however is one thing.
How it plays out in practice is anyones guess .
