Would be interesting to know how many times the player playing their semi a day later wins the final of either Aussie or US Open

It wouldnt have made a difference today, Djokovic has an extra gear that nobody can match at the moment.
It wasnt an extra days rest that made the difference.

Djokovic is like a machine at times. When push came to shove he just did not miss.
Murray did not do much wrong in all fairness. It was just a few points here or there that decided it.
He is right to take the positives from the championship. He was solid throughout and overcame a nig hurdle by beating Federer for the first time in a slam.
No regrets, just keep going and the results will come.

Was good to see Laura(Robson) winning a couple of matches at Madrid Open, shame she couldn't close it out against Ivanovic and get to the Quarter Finals

Well Laura is on court right now in Rome to face the ultimate test.
She beat Venus Williams in round one and now its world number one Serena.
What a challenge .

It will be a great experience for Laura to play Serena,i remember seeing Laura win the junior championship at Wimbledon,a lot of people said at the time they did not think she would make it any further,certainly proved them wrong.

Well she didn't but to be honest nobody was ever going to beat Serena anyway.
The French Open was a predictable borefest.
I put a fairly big bet on Rafa to win the mens and Serena the womens because I was so sure they would win.
Serena will win Wimbledon too I suspect.
The mens is a little bit more open though..

Maria Kirilenko is by far the hottest women tennis player, she is not a top 5 player though so she isn't well known, i can't see the appeal of Sharapova she does nothing for me, she is 6 foot 2, of course she is a very good tennis player
