Sharapova beat's No2 seed Halep in the 1st round

I watched the Sharapova win and to be honest, I'm not that surprised she beat Halep, whose mental strength has been called in to question many times. Fair play to the Romanian, on this occasion she fought and took it to a deciding set, but the fact is her game doesn't match up well against Sharapova's power. With last night's win the Russian now leads the head to head 7-0.

Big disappointment for Johanna Konta though. I genuinely thought she was a contender to make the final. Well how the heck did that one go wrong?! Very disappointing performance.
