Got a pending bet from the start of the tournament on Kerber winning the title.
But the way Pliskova is playing I am not at all sure Kerber will win now Rolleyes.

I love you Angelique Kerber HeartHeartHeart.
Thank you Heart.
That was a thrilling match, one of the most competitive women's grand slam finals I've seen in a long while. Both ladies giving their all and trading some brutal rallies and shots from all sides of the court.

A lot of the time I find a women's final too one sided - they seem to go by in the blink of an eye for the loss of just a few games and I end up thinking what a disappointment for the spectators and organizers. Not this one though - it was an excellent contest. Congratulations to Karolina Pliskova on her first major final and of course congratulations to Angelique Kerber on her second major title and becoming the new world number one when the new rankings are released tomorrow.

So that's one half of the weekend's double accumulator sorted. Looking forward to the men's final tonight for the other half. Need Stan the Man to bring it home to win about £80. Come on Stan! Smile
Stan Wawrinka is the US Open Champion after beating Novak Djokovic 6-7 6-4 7-5 6-3
Looks like the sherbets are on Regen, then Smile
^ Good job cos I have spent my winnings already Wink.
It's semi finals time in the Davis Cup from Glasgow. It's GB v Argentina

1st up is the top match of Murray v Del Potro
Del Potro takes the 1st set 6 games to 4.
Murray looks like he's struggling mentally and physically. Credit to him for being there at all on the day of his Grandfather's funeral.

GB actually have a pretty good chance of winning this tie even if Murray loses this match
five setter lasting 5 hours plus Murray's longest math, hope he can recover enough to get us back into tie in the doubles
