Sounds a bit odd to me. Djokovic has been traveling the world for years, surely his team know what type of visa he needs.

It seems the type applied for can't be used with a Covid vaccination exemption so it might have been one he normally uses

The BBC have just reported that Australia have cancelled Djokovics Visa and he will be deported.

^ 'Tennis Australia' had granted him a medical excemption from covid vaccination rules but after outrage in Australia their border forces cancelled his visa.
So it looks like he flew into Melbourne, he was kept at the airport, and he's now being flown out on the first available plane.

I do think someone on his team has made a very big cock up. But now, I am wondering how this could even play out if he tries to get into the French or Wimbledon on a exemption.
