The Jo Konta dream is over as she is beaten by Petra Kvitova 7-5 6-3
Andy Murray is out after losing to Kevin Anderson 7-6 6-3 6-7 7-6
Shocking performance by the scot.
It will be an all Swiss semi final between Federer and Wawrinka as both men sealed straight set wins in their last 8 ties.
Federer made light work of Richard Gasquet while Wawrinka dismissed the challenge of Kevin Anderson.
expecting Federer to dominate that one
Hope there is good news for Konta in terms of improved ranking. I suspect Murray's exit is going ot have some effect on his ranking and possible place at the ATP tour finals but more importantly hope he can get focused on the Davis Cup semi final against the Aussies
^Murray had a bad head cold 1st week of US Open which was going around and coupled with the heat caused a lot of retirements in 1st week of tournament.

Jo Konta I believe will be around 70 in new rankings after her good US Open run. If she had beaten Kvitova she would have overtaken Heather Watson to become British No 1

Defeat here will have no effect on Murray's ranking although it will hinder his chances of finishing World No.2 but I still expect him to overtake Federer by the end of the year. Qualified for O2 a month ago, as now have Federer and Stan.

Konta will be ranked 2 places below and only 17 ranking points behind Heather Watson. Expect her to finish year as British No.1 and inside top 50.

Will be ranked 58, Watson 56 when rankings come out on Monday.
At least there is one Murray in the US Open Finals.
Jamie's in the Mens Doubles with partner John Peers
Shock result in the ladies semi-final as Serena Williams is beaten by the unseeded Italian Roberta Vinci 2-6 6-4 6-4
