Congratulations to Maria Sharapova who today won her second French Open title with victory over Simona Halep 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 6-4 in a quite superb final.
Widely considered amongst the commentators and pundits as best match of the entire tournament in the mens or womens events so far and I would concur.
Both ladies played a magnificent and engrossing match.
Sharapova now has five Grand Slams to her name and has won all of them at least once.

Yeah, and well done to Halep for pushing it to that final set, and for getting this far

Love Maria. The way she never gives up and the look of intensity on her face. Supporting her is like being on a cliff edge though especially with her serve. I hope she hasn't won the French open at the sacrifice of a good Wimbledon tournament.
