British hopes are now all on the Australian born Hungarian Jo Konta laugh
We knew that something wasn't 100% right with the fitness from the first couple of days of the tournament. Well the injury, whatever it is, caught up with Andy today. Credit to Sam Querrey, who was always dangerous with the big shots on grass, but Murray could hardly move in that last set.

The American is a solid player when he gets a lead and we needed Andy to be 110% ready to have any chance. The 6-1, 6-1 last two sets were quite merciful. If he had pulled that around and gone through it would have been a good bet to see him get blasted 6-0 in at least two of the sets on Friday. The injury was very plain to see today.

Muller v Cilic currently 5-5 in the fourth.

edit: Muller now 6-5, serving for the set.
second edit: and into a deciding set we go again - Muller wins the fourth 7-5.

third and final edit of this post: Cilic sweeps away the final set 6-1.

Querrey v Cilic is the first semi-final which would have been very long odds a fortnight ago. Smile

Novak on the way soon, Roger already under way, a break up on Raonic in the first set. Smile
Djokovic now retired with an injury so Tomas Berdych goes through to play Federer in the semi-final.
Federer through in straight sets 6-2 6-4 7-6 (7-4) and looking in serene form.

Semi finals:

Marin Cilic v Sam Querrey

Roger Federer v Tomas Berdych
Well that turned wimbledon into a right bore if Konta doesnt win 2moro Tongue Tongue Tongue
Presumably the bookies can shut up shop on Federer winning.
The Ladies semi finals have been both short and sweet. Not what the fans were hoping for.
Jo Konta couldn't find her best form today and went down 4-6 2-6 to Venus Williams.
Konta was rather depressingly overpowered. The Williams serve at times resembled Fort Knox it was so inpenetrable Sad.
Jo competed well in 1st set, got unlucky with the net cords that helped Venus to break at end of 1st set and start of second set.

The Mixed doubles is the big chance for British success as Jamie Murray is in Q/Finals playing with Martina Hingis as well as Heather Watson playing with Henri Kontinen and Jocelyn Rae playing with Ken Skupski
