Most players don't reach 12 slams overall. Nadal has managed to win 12 in one place plus a handful of others laugh
Roger Federer has tuned up for Wimbledon by winning the Halle grass court tournament for the 10th time beating David Goffin of Belgium 7-6 (7-2) 6-1.
Serena Williams battled through to the Rogers Cup final, getting revenge on Naomi Osaka along the way. But then she had to withdraw in agony at 3-1 down in the first set, forfeiting the match (& Cup) to Canadian teenager Bianca Andreescu.
US Open starts today.
Jo Konta and Kyle Edmund are the main British hopes.

Meanwhile the ladies first round sees Serena Williams v Maria Sharapova.
I notice the ref from last year's women's final has been barred from umpiring any matches involving either Williams sister. Hmm... #losebattlewinwar
Serena demolished Sharapova yet again. 6-1 6-1 in 59 minutes.

Konta through to round 2.
Harriet Dart is out.
Dan Evans through.
Cameron Norrie beaten in 5 sets.
Thought Norrie was going to come back and win from 2 sets down and saving match points in 4th set. He served for it twice in final set

Jo Konta through to round 4 at Flushing Meadows. Next up Karolina Pliskova seeded 3. Tough match.
I do think Jo deserves at least semi spot at Flushing she has battled all year and I may be wrong, but would she be the first British women's player to win the thing if she reached the final?
^ in the Open era of tennis (1969 onwards) yes. Virginia Wade won it in 1968 as an amateur.
