sounds like the driver with the most wins rather than points will be named champion. sounds like a dumbass move to me. the points system will mean nothing if this happens. all that will matter is coming first.
Its bernie ecclestone being a complete money grabbing kunt as usual, he didn't want lewis to win the championship because he is british and now it will be harder to get rid of the british gran prix and get another race in the money spinning middle east, if anyone else had won the championship it would have been fine, and considering most of europe doesn't like black people its not good for the sport to have lewis as the world champ. Utter bullshit, this sport is dying more every year cos of that kunt ecclesdtone. I'm going to rape him!
i want to start watching again now itv cant fuck it up. it will be abit shit if someone wins a bunch of races at the start of the season
It's a stupid way of doing things. I've watch F1 all my life and have been to silverstone for the last 8 years. This is going to fuck the sport up. Someone need to give Bernie a good kicking! I'll still watch but i think it will be dull.

I am glad it's back on the bbc, why did they put adverts in the middle of a sporting event on itv? They don't do it with football. It would come back from the ad's and we'd have missed the best bit of the race!

Looking forward to the start of the season and hoping that little feck wit realises he's made a big mistake.
Just heard about this new rule! What a complete pile of horse shit! Every team has TWO drivers! The top teams have two very good, well matched drivers each! Whichever driver wins the first race for a team means they have to get the other drivers support and he has to spend the rest of the season playing second fiddle! This has basically halved the amount of drivers who can compete for the championship! I can't see Ferrari or McLaren supporting both drivers after one of them produces 2 or 3 wins, the other guy might as well sit in the pits! Bernie Eccles cake is a rich, old fool ! I really hope that at the end of the season the winning driver has less points than the guy in second with the reliable car to show what a ludicrous rule this is! It's not all about having the number one driver.it takes over 1000 people to get each of those cars on the grid,it's a team sport! God I'm annoyed !!!!!!!!!!

Dreamlander
So therefore if one driver is four wins in front of his nearest rival and there are only three races left that's it. Cue empty circuits.

Whichever sport anyone british and particularly english wins there is always a sudden rush to change the rules.

Didn't ecclestone want into the premier league not long since - applying this logic you could win 20 games, lose 18 and still be champions.

Can't see formula 1 sticking with these rules, yes you can win the title at the moment without necessarily winning a race but even if you finish second in every race doesn't that make you the best because you would have dealt with all conditions, certainly the most consistent.
they better do away with the podium for the 2nd and 3rd place finishers as only coming first matters. its a good thing shuey retired or the second half of the season would be pointless
so this dumbass rule got in how the hell is this gonna help the sport i could be finished a couple of races before the last race and we like close finishes in sport this is just gonna make the big team bigger and the small team smaller can this bloke just stick to buggaring up qpr cos he already killed f1
ATM the Honda team is looking great so theoreticaly if button goes on a streak at the start he's pretty much won it if the other teams are all about equal. F1 is going to go down the pan If they keep fiddling with it. If it ain't broke don't fix it *slaps head*
We obviously won't get Max Mosley's opinion on this as he is probably up to his neck in hookers. Just about sums the sport up. On a slippery slope to nowhere.
