A great day yesterday for British Formula 1 fans with Lewis's 2014 championship victory.
Times were harsh for Nico, and this wasn't the outcome many of us wanted to see, a raging battle until the end would have been nice! In all fairness though, Lewis did win 11 races to Nico's 5 so the title went to the right driver imo. There's been lots of twists and turns this year which have played a large part from unreliability, to etc etc. But when the gloves came off and the two Mercedes drivers had the chance to go head-to-head, Lewis for me has been the dominant, hungry force and therefore undoubtedly deserved the championship crown.

Well done Lewis!

All eyes set now for 2015 and forthcoming news on which driver's are staying, going or switching teams.
Let's hope Jenson can keep his seat!
I'm over the moon that Lewis finally got his second title. I suspect he will grab another couple before he retires, particularly if he signs the long-term deal with Mercedes that he's supposedly been offered.

As for Jenson, he's a more patient man than i am. I think i would have told Ron Dennis to shove his car up his arse by now.
I'm trying to figure out what is happening at Mclean.
Alonso and Ron Dennis aren't the best of working pals.
So if Alonso is their lead driver next year Jensen may not be the only one leaving the team.
Alonso threatened to give "incriminating" emails to the FIA during the Spygate affair... However Ron Dennis had already been to Max Mosley. I can't believe that Ron has forgiven him as he isn't the forgiving type!

I dare say there are a lot of McLaren staff who haven't forgotten either and Alonso is also believed to be responsible for Marco Mattiachi being removed at Ferrari.

The man is a Snake.
It pains me to say it but besides Alonso's many faults, he's still one of the best F1 driver's out there.
Just like Lewis he's capable of taking every inch of speed +some from any given car.
There's no doubt he's dragged some almost impossible performances out of the Dancing Donkey over the last few years, but you can guarantee that at some point he will turn on the team.

It's also worth remembering that he had the most to gain from Piquet Junior's "crash" in Singapore. Where Fernando goes, trouble will surely follow.
Yes your right and it's a shame because he's talented enough to achieve results without the bullshit Huh
Never understand people like him, I'd rather win a race handicapped than of an advantage.
That's where the real sense of pride and achievement sits in my book.
being reported on f1 sites that mercedes are offering lewis a £100 million, five year deal keeping him signed till the end of 2020,nice package WinkWinkWink
what would be his age then - just over 30?
Can't be bad, drives an F1 car for a living and earns shit loads in the process! To cap it off there's his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, who looked faf on race day.
No doubt he was ball's deep by the end of the evening the lucky fucker.
