Looks like Bernie Ecclestone has managed to up the Mercedes team.

They are threatening to quit formula 1 if they don't get a seat in the boardroom of the company that will control the Formula 1 when it is floated on the Stock Exchange.

'Red Bull, and Ferrari have both been promised boardroom places by Bernie Ecclestone, Formula One's chief executive, as he lines up a float that could value Formula One at up to £6 billion.'

The report continues: 'Mercedes, who registered their first win of the modern era in China only last month, have been isolated with McLaren, their former partners, also being handed a place.'
Lewis Hamilton has been stripped of pole position for the GP. Really can't work out why he always seems to be the centre of controversy.
Lewis' car didn't have enough fuel left in it to provide a sample to test during qualifying.
So they have moved him to the back of the field.

This must be a team fault and nothing to do with the driver.

Looks like F1 have decided to give him another kicking.

I read its some sort of fuel rule that he stopped his car on the track at the end of qualifying thats why he got stripped of pole position
That's what I read, he wouldn't have had sufficient fuel in the car for him to get back to the pits and provide a sample, as required by the rules.
I didn't see it but it makes no sense. Why wasn't this an acceptable excuse or why did this even happen ?
FIA statement:

"The stewards received a report from the race director which stated that during post-qualifying scrutineering a sample of fuel was required from car 4. However, the car failed to return to the pits under its own power as required under article 6.6.2 of the FIA Formula One technical regulations. The stewards heard from the team representative, Mr Sam Michael, who stated that the car stopped on the circuit for reasons of force majeure. A team member had put an insufficient quantity of fuel into the car, thereby resulting in the car having to be stopped on the circuit in order to be able to provide the required amount for sampling purposes."
Who ever filled up the car is fucked! Wink
