Huge strategy cock up from Mercedes. They should have brought Hamilton in 3 laps sooner and he would have come out ahead of Verstappen.

2nd place would not have been enough in the end anyway though as Vettel finished 4th. Lewis would have needed to overtake Raikonnen as well.
I don't think Hamilton ever quite got far enough in front of Raikonnen to come out in front of him after his second pit stop. But Mercedes should have at least given him a shot.

Vot a shame ze Vettel misses out -well Hamilton isn't going to be too fussed and I think he will wrap it up next week in Mexico OR it could go right to the last race-either way it is his to win or lose.
