Red Bull themselves as well should shut up and accept the decision made by the stewards. Their behaviour and comments right from immediately after the incident including basically saying Hamilton deliberately put Verstappen in the hospital came across to me as sour grapes & bad losers. It was a racing incident pure and simple. Even ex f1 drivers were not happy with red bull's reaction

Plus as circles_0_0_0 has said Horner's argument that you dont pass there at the corner where incident happened was destroyed when Hamilton passed Leclerc cleanly to win the race and agree it's a bit rich/hypocritical for Verstappen complaining about Hamilton being too agressive when he was exactly that in F1 when he started

the number of times max is involved in these incidents is well documented,only this time he came up against someone who wouldnt back down from his bullying tactics,so its a bit pot kettle for me

incidentally red bull seem to have forgotten that lewis tried to pass max at the exact same spot in the sprint race

i have been to every british grand prix since 2010
and I always watch the race from the same place
100 yard board,copse corner and i have seen dozens of overtakes here,so for horner to say you dont try to pass at copse is absolute bullshit

Esteban Ocon took a surprise victory in an incident packed Hungarian Grand Prix, the first of his career, after a first corner collision forced 5 cars to retire and a red flag as well. Sebastian Vettel finished 2nd and Lewis Hamilton finished 3rd, despite being plum last at one point. His title rival Max Verstappen finished 9th.

EDIT: Vettel might lose his 2nd place, due to a fuel infringement.

Vettel has been disqualified and has lost his 2nd place, due to the fuel infringement. Hamilton now 2nd and Carlos Sainz classified as 3rd.

Hamilton now leads the drivers championship by 8 points.

What an absolute farce. Obviously the weather can't be controlled but keeping fans sitting is the pissing rain for hours when it was obvious there wouldn't be any improvement is bad enough, but to then send out the cars for 2 laps behind the Safety Car just so they can declare a result (and dodge any possible chance of refunds) is a total disgrace.

I've said for years that I would never spend my own money to go to a F1 race and today has done nothing to change my mind.

Interesting that Lewis Hamilton stood up in the post race interviews and called for the fans to get their money back so fair play to him.

As I understand it by the time the cars went out for the final time the conditions were admitted by the majority of drivers to be worse than on previous starts behind the safety car . The determination to have a classification looks very cynical to me.

Not only that the points are so close at the top that this classification could help decide the drivers championship too
