fantastic british grand prix this afternoon. Pirelli have some very serious questions to answer about the tires after 4 rear tyres failed
brilliant race made even better by Vettel not finishing - it just about keeps the championship alive for at least another race!

I hope this comment doesn't sound silly, but the tyre blowouts did make the race a lot more eventful and interesting!
Getting quotes for a set of tyres this week.

If Pirelli are the cheapest I might just buy 3 and put something else on the left rear Smile
I'm not one to start conspiracy theories but I'm not sure Pirelli are to blame....I'm sure I saw a whiff of smoke on the grassy knoll, just by corner 4, near to the new Red Bull book depository eek

Jean Todt was spotted on the roof of the BRDC club house with a Michelin sponsored Sniper Rifle.

By the way, anyone pointing at the kerb is barking up the wrong tree. Those kerbs have been there since the "Arena GP" Circuit was built and have had thousands of cars over them in all sorts of race series. Punctures have not been an issue until last weekend's GP meeting. I've bounced over them myself a few times Wink
Pirelli have made changes to the tyres for this weekend's German Grand Prix. They did well to make changes in such a short time, athough they don't see to be taking the blame for the problems last time.
another fantastic weekend at silverstone, and the biggest cheer this year was for red bull AGAIN,only this time it wasnt for webber passing alonso for the lead like last year,it was for vettels car expiring and coming to a halt, you would think the british fans dont like him, fantastic comeback from lewis hamilton from last place gave us brits something to cheer about, all in all a brilliant weekend, roll on 2014
It's being reported that Formula 1 drivers are threatening to go on strike! If it happens they could be the most well paid workers to strike ever.
di resta had a fantastic drive last weekend. pirelli have blamed the teams for putting the tyres on the wrong way round, not sure if putting the front wheels on the back and back ones on the front will work or they mean the inside tyre wall should the be on the outside or the left wheel shoud be on the right? i think the tyre pressures were wrong which meant they got punctured easily.

this is why in-season testing should always be allowed to make sure parts on the car and any tyre developments work so that the cars are safe to drive.
