It's changes for the British GP this weekend

Today is the qualifying for the shorter sprint race which is about one-third of the distance of a grand prix.

How the driver perform tomorrow in the Sprint race determines the grid positions for Sunday's race. The top three in the sprint will also gain race points.
Max Verstappen managed to overtake Lewis Hamilton is the Sprint and has the 3 championship points and the pole position for tomorrows GP.

Hamilton was 2nd and Bottas was 3rd.
Max Verstappen is out of the British Grand Prix!!!!!!!! he and Lewis Hamitlon briefly touched on lap 1 and Verstappen crashed into the tyre barrier just past the old pit straight. Racing incident to me. Leclerc leads with Hamilton 2nd & Bottas 3rd

Race red flagged to repair the tyre barrier
Hamilton won the race in the end after recovering from a 10 second penalty to hunt down and pass Leclerc in the closing stages.
Will the FIA look into the incident?
From what Verstappen said he wasn't very happy about as from wja he said, he felt Hamilton did it deliberately.

Also what are your views on the Sprint race & whether it works or needs tweaks?

I think it'll all settle down over the next week or 2, in the heat of the moment things get said. What's more concerning to me this morning is seeing people claim
Horner and Verstappen sparked the racist abuse online! That for me is a joke.

As for the sprint, I was against it before and I still am. I'm of the mind set of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Current format works fine for me, but unfortunately with American owners they're forever going to be trying to draw a larger American audience. Either way I'll still watch F1 and over time the sprint races may grow on me as I think it's inevitable that it will become common over the next number of years.
^Just watched the race, and can't understand the Red Bull vitriol aimed at Hamilton.
As I saw it Hamilton jumped into a space between Verstappen and the wall, just gaining an edge in the straight. Hamilton held his line going into the corner, Verstappen tried to cut-in, but didn't have the speed to get back in front, and as a result cut back-in alongside Hamulton, and touched wheels.
With regard to the sprint - let's forget that and revert back to the system they had in the 1950s, when all the cars were lined up with their backs to the pit wall, and when the flag dropped the drivers had to foot race to the car, get in, strap up and then start the car. Smile
Verstappen should just shut up and let the stewards deal with the incident. These tweets just make him look like a bad loser.
Racing incident imo.
Saw far worse behaviour from the likes of Senna or Schumacher back in the day in title deciding races bladewave.
Bearing in mind how aggressive Verstappen was when he came into F1 it’s a bit rich him complaining
