Red Bull Racing driver Daniil Kvyat had a bad crash at the end of Q3 qualifing.
This prevented all the other drivers from completing their final timed lap and therefore handed Rosberg with the pole.

Daniil Kvyat managed to walk away from the crash.

Mercedes 1 -2 as Hamilton wins in Japan to extend lead in championship

Jenson Button is driving for mclaren in 2016, he's announced it on his Twitter page. Was rumoured to be retiring from f1 & going into endurance racing & presenting new BBC top gear.

Also Mercedes will be supplying Manor Marussia with engines from 2016
