Well Doddle isn't going to be a happy man tonight I suspect but put it this way and I know it's something of an overused football cliche but if somebody had offered Hamilton a shot at the top 6 and Premiership safety at the start of the season they would have gladly accepted. What I will say about Hamilton is that if their form doesn't improve then they are going to have problems next season.

With regards to the game tonight after a stinker of a 1st half where both teams did very little to create chances it was hard to see where a goal was going to come from. A much improved 2nd half I thought and more importantly these 3 points were vital for Motherwell. I also cannot remember the last time they scored 4 goals without reply. This must be a massive confidence boost to them as its getting to the stage of the season now where no doubt many fans must be having sleepless nights.

Final score tonight. Motherwell 4 Hamilton 0
Next season? We've had problems for weeks! Sad A bloody useless manager being one of them!
St Johnstone won, Dundee were held to a draw and Kilmarnock surprisingly lost. So it's going to remain a tense few weeks. I hope we do make the top 6 if for no other reason than another chance to give Dundee Utd a change from playing Celtic all the time Wink

Meanwhile, East Stirling let slip a 2-1 lead and lost 3-2 at Annan, who push us down to 6th, as they climb to 5th. East Fife drew, though, so all is not lost.
Another easy 3 points in the bag, and with the sheep shaggers dropping 2 points the future is looking good. Smile

Dunfermline Ath won 1-0 at Stenhousmuir but needed a Ryan Scully penalty save, to go 3 points behind Brechin in 4th who play Peterhead on Tuesday which I hope will be a draw or Peterhead win in their game in hand.

Stewart McLaren is doing well at Stirling Albion and if they end up going down will be a force in League One next season
Congratulations to Hearts, who with Rangers win over Hibs 2-0 are promoted back to the Scottish Premiership as Scottish Championship champions
Glasgow City(Orange Strip) are playing PSG in the Women's Champions League live now(4pm Sunday) on BBC Alba
Congratulations to Hearts. Last year at this time they were just weeks away from relegation aswell as all the financial uncertainty surrounding the club with their very existence called into question.

Fast forward a year and they've become the first British team to not only have secured the title but promotion too. I look forward to our challenges against them next season. If Hearts can keep the same squad and management structure in place then who'd bet against them fancying a tilt at the Premiership title aswell.

Now its down to a 2 way fight for 2nd. Whatever way you look at it the sponsors will be desperate to see either an Edinburgh or Old Firm derby back on the cards again in Scotlands top flight.

I bloody don't! eek I'll bet they can't wait to run riot at New Douglas Park Sad

But seriously, well done to them, they've done really very well this season indeed Cool
East Stirling 1 Arbroath 0 Smile Back to 5th, but it's really going to be close in the last 5 games. East Fife won and remain 4th.
