Way I heard it on 5 live someone sent him a message - or was it a death threat? so now do they (the administrators) go back to the Blue Knights who I believe had pretty much the next credible bid?

So where does that leave us now?

Wouldn't mind the same competent officials in the final Smile.

Picking up my ticket tomorrow. Buzzin already. Big Grin
I'm glad to see that Pat Fenlon is doing ok at Hibernian. I always knew he could do better than manage in the Irish league, where he did a good job at Shelbourne and Bohemians

Hopefully come Saturday Pat Fenlon becomes the best Hibs Manager of all time regardless of what he does in the rest of his time at the club (which hopefully is a long time, been a while since we had a manager for more than a couple years).

The omens are good though for Hibernian, the last time they won the Scottish Cup they had an Irish manager in charge, who was also the most recent Irish manager prior to Fenlon. Dan McMichael was his name, the first ever Hibernian manager and the longest serving.

Hibs have also been improving with every game they have played and despite the loss at Inverness yesterday in a nothing game with most first team players rested.

It's 110 years since we last won that cup, in that time we've won the league 4 times and won the league cup 3 times. There have been several times that we've come close only to fall short. Saturday 19th of May is the best chance we have had in a long time to get our hands on the Holy Grail.

This cup final on Saturday has generated so much interest, first and foremost a cup final not involving either side of the old firm, and then to have an Edinburgh derby, the last being 1876 when these 2 last locked horns in a national final. Now I know its a cliche but honestly form counts for nothing on the day, I predict a high scoring game. Now from what I've seen from Hibs this season they've been truly rotten (and that's coming from a Dundee Utd fan) Big Laugh whilst Hearts on the other hand have been blowing hot and cold all season. To me it's a flip of the coin as to who will be holding aloft the Scottish Cup come full time. It's going to be edge of the seat drama stuff, that's for sure and I'm sure a lot of neutrals such as myself would dearly love to see Hibs get's their hands on the trophy which has eluded them on so many occasions.

Slip of the finger with 1876 I think? But 1876 is relevant to Hibs and Hearts, as that is the true formation date of the club now known as Heart of Midlothian FC (historical records show no mention of such a club in 1874 or 1875).

But the last all Edinburgh final was in 1896, which to date is the only time the Scottish Cup final has been played outside Glasgow, being played at a place called Logie Green, with the Pink half winning that time.

As a United fan yourself you know what it's like to be within touching distance of the cup only to lose at the final hurdle. A lot of other neutrals have said they want the Green half to win.

Currently we sing of the greatest day in Hibernian history being New Year's Day 1973, when we beat Hearts at Tynecastle 7-0. Hopefully come Sunday we will be singing about May 19th instead.
