^ Most clubs used to treat this cup like an extra friendly before the League Cup matches the following week. It is first time that most clubs have taken it seriously.
^ would be a shame if SPFL's latest bright idea of dropping the Top 6 Under 20's teams into this tournament meant some lower league clubs go back to treating it an extra friendly if the above change comes to pass
