Forfar Athletic v Alloa Athletic, both legs of Championship playoff are being shown on BBC Alba Tonight(Wednesday) 7.45pm ko and Sunday 5.30 pm ko
I'm supporting Forfar due to their management being ex Pars players/managers
Queens Park 0 Stenhousmuir 1 (Jamie McCormack)
Brora Rangers 1(Marvin Andrews og) Montrose 0
Forfar Ath 3(Kader,Templeman, Travis)Alloa 1(Kyle Benndictis)
It's not very often where I find myself cheering on Celtic other than European games but tonight I sincerely hope they do the business against St Johnstone.

Afterall I think they are due us a favour in return after we beat Aberdeen at home the other week to secure their champions status Wink
Motherwell confirmed in place off spot in SPL after today's results.

Stenhousmuir retain League One status after 2-1 agg win over Queens Park.

Montrose retain League Two status after 3-1 win over Brora to win 3-2 on Agg.
Stenhousemuir's result just typifies the stupidity of this halfway house format.

Ross County 2 Hamilton 1 - at least with Partick losing, we're confirmed as ending 7th, which is the best of a bad lot, really. I notice Norwich are one match away from promotion, which is bittersweet (though I'd like Middlesbrough to lose).

Maybe less said about Dundee United the better, eh? Wink
Firstly yes least said about Dundee United the better, after such an explosive first half to the season which seen us challenging for the League it's all become an all too far familiar end to the season for the supporters. This leaves a worrying trend going into next season as our current form has been relegation material.

I watched the St Johnstone v Celtic game on Friday night and fair play to St Johnstone if they pip us to a European slot, they deserve it and are far more hungry than we are at this moment in time. They have an endeavour and drive about them which we now sadly lack as we have now resorted to lumping the ball up to the strikers in the vague hope of a goal.

Moving on having watched the 2nd Leg of the Play off between Rangers and Queen Of Sth in which the Gers narrowly came through I would have to fancy Hibs to beat them in the forthcoming Semi Final. Rangers look tired and short on ideas and very sloppy at the back in which I think Hibs will punish them for.

Motherwell have got no chance of staying up as far as I'm concerned and I'll say it again I think they should have been made to participate in the first stage of the Play Off's, why should the team that finishes 2nd bottom of the division be given such a healthy advantage over the rest.
well done Alloa who have beaten Forfar 3-0 to win 4-3 on aggregate to retain their Championship status
With Stenhousemuir and Alloa both staying up despite the odds, it looks good for Motherwell to make it 3.

Pity for QoS Sad
I still don't understand how a 2nd fro bottom team can be given such an advantage
Well quite. I can understand that the play-offs are popular, so I'm happy to put up with them, but only within the division. I know with 2nd-5th this seems a wide gap when there's only 10 teams, but the importance is sustaining the 2-up, 2-down principle. At least that means the middle divisions get 40% different teams per season. Next year, East Stirling & co will be playing 90% the exact same chumps as last year. Change is good, y'know.
