I can't get my head round the premise that Hamilton could be considered favourites to beat Aberdeen Sad
Hamilton got a thumping win at Motherwell, keeping them 2nd behind the mighty Dundee United.

In other unlikely results, East Stirling (9th) won 2-1 at Albion Rovers (2nd), and are now up to 6th Big Grin
It all went off at EEP today, 2 two footed tackles on Josh Falkingham led to straight reds then a Peterhead player punches Buchanan and leaves Peterhead to play 2nd half with 8 Men. Reports(unconfirmed) claimed Jim McInally(Peterhead manager) had assaulted ref and got himself arrested. On the field Dunfermline won 3-0 eventually
Dundee United Top Of The League and now 2 points clear.............Big Grin

I'm not long home after which has already rightly been pointed out watching the mighty arabs cementing our place as the best team in the land. We exacted revenge on St Johnstone as it was the first time we'd played them since the Scottish Cup Final.

Surely to fuck we're not going to win the title, 19 points already on the board, ironically the thumping we took at Celtic Park a few weeks ago was actually the turning point for us. Since then we've gone from strength to strength.

Elsewhere today a big stand out result has to be the hammering Motherwell took at home to Hamilton.

All the results from today went as follows.

St Mirren 1 Celtic 2
Aberdeen 3 Inverness CT 2
Dundee Utd 2 St Johnstone 0
Kilmarnock 3 Partick Thistle 0
Motherwell 0 Hamilton 4
Ross County 2 Dundee 1
Hamilton Accies seem to be having a great time in the SPL.
Nice to see some different names at the top of the Scottish game for a while Smile.
Well without getting carried away about my own team I was watching some videos on youtube from season 1982/83 which was the last time Dundee United won the league title and then comparing it to this season and the performance I watched this afternoon.

I'll be honest with you we looked very similar, we had a will, a hunger and a desire to win, we played like a team at the top of the league, the confidence throughout the whole team was buzzing and to be honest it should have been more than 2 we scored.

Seeing Hamilton up there has been a massive surprise especially in light of the manner in which they looked dead and buried after the 1st Leg against Hibernian at the end of last seasons Play Off decider in which they so dramatically clutched victory from the jaws of defeat. I'm happy for their supporters as they've had to put up with a lot of hardships over the years so why not allow them to enjoy their moment in the high life.

Not just purely from my own Tangerine tinted specs it would be great to see another team win the League this season other than Celtic. The old firm have dominated the game for the past 3 decades and it would nice to see a change. Winning the league for any team outside the Old Firm is a dream which I dare not mention but I'm sure a lot of neutrals would welcome it with open arms.
We're top of the League so why not milk it for at least another week Big Grin

Well done to Hibernian, I'm pretty sure that there must have been a few Hearts fans cheering them on but would never admit it publicly Rolleyes

All the damage was done in the first half.

Final score from Ibrox - Rangers 1 Hibernian 3 Big Laugh
I read a piece in the Sunday paper that someone at Rangers was writing Hibs' promotion chances off because they were already 7 points behind Rangers. Tee hee Tongue
History will be made this weekend in the Scottish Cup as Shelley Kerr becomes the 1st woman in the 141 year history of the competition to manage a men's side as her Stirling University side take on Albion Rovers on Sunday
