East Stirling managed to turn a 1-0 lead into a 2-1 defeat Sad

Nice to see Dundee United end their losing streak, though.
Sad to read about the death of Ian Redford, who I gather was famous about 30 years ago, ex-of Dundee Utd & others Sad

You gather right. Ex Rangers and others. Great player and his chip to win the League Cup for Rangers v Dundee Utd 1981 is still fondly remembered. Quality midfielder in a generation when Scotland had many.
Typically unpredictable, East Stirling turned over leaders Peterhead 2-0, but remain 6th.

Dundee Utd got a draw.
So Ayr United's season is over as their top scorer Michael Moffat is banned for 6 matches for betting while Ian Black who bet against his own team got 10 match(7 suspensed) ban and £7.5K fine. Can't help wondering what ban would have been if Moffat like Black could have afforded to pay a big fine!
Hearts mebbe unlucky to miss out on the League Cup final against Aberdeen, but at least they're finally on a plus points score in the league now. And well done to Inverness all the same.

East Stirling couldn't even beat Queens Park on Saturday, but I think we're safe for mid-table, which is good in itself.
I had one of my betting notions last year after seeing some of the speculative scenarios reported in the papers after Rangers relegation to the depth; such as that Gers would win every game in the season, or that the Bhoys would win every competition going for three years. That last one got my attention; not because I believed it was going to happen but I thought a variation was likely. I thought it was a better chance that Celtic would win six trophies in the time that it took Rangers to get back up (if they do!laugh) - all three league campaigns and one of the cups each year.

It's time to thank the bookie I spoke to - I've long since spent the money saved on other frivolities - but his miserable demeanour and attitude stopped me from taking the chance. Obviously the odds dropped the more future victories were discounted, but by the time he was demanding to know which cups in which years he's dropped the odds to about even anyway. After today's loss to Aberdeen (shameBounce ) it's still possible that Celtic could still win a Triple next year but if I'd taken the final quoted odds for any six of nine, I'd have had to risk a grand to raise the £500 I had initially thought I might be aiming for...

Now if he'd only had the sense to let me speak to the attractive woman on duty, rather than pull rank... She might have persuaded me to take out a mortgage!Blush
Well done to Aberdeen Big Grin

East Stirling beat Elgin 3-0 too, which is much better than of late.
Moffat ban reduced to 4 games with 2 further games suspensed until the end of the season. Still think given the offence wasn't like Ian Black's who bet against his own team and put 150 bets on his own team, whereas Moffat only did that on 7 occassions and bet 150 bets on games in other leagues, that it is a totally unfair punishment
Annan Athletic 2 East Stirlingshire 3 Big Grin Wey-hey!
