Agree with all those points. Especially about Smalling. How can such a big guy be so easily dominated by someone else ? In addition to your points, I would add one more. Lampard. HOW poor has he been ? He repeatedly slows down every attacking move with his ponderous sideways passing. Not to mention the amount of times he's given the ball away again & again.

Do you seriously think van Gaal will just rely on them. United have other defenders too btw not just the poor ones you read about in the paper

Barkley, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lambert put in a good case for playing in the World Cup, but England always looked vulnerable defensively. What a centre back pairing Jones are Smalling are - if we have to play them in the World Cup there would surely be no hope.

I feel for united next season

I don't think they're the best centre backs, nor do I think they're the worst. It wasn't their fault the cross wasn't cut out and it wasn't their fault Shaw wasn't defending. The same can be said for the second goal, the midfield should be closing down.

how did well did Jo and Fred play yesterday against the mighty Panama, Ferny? i haven't noticed you post about last nights 4-0 win, i just caught up with the england game on +1 and i guessed we didn't win cos i kept seeing your name pop up on this thread, not a great result but lets not go overboard this was a second string side not the first team, squad players are there to make up the numbers they aren't mean't to be as good as the first teamers obviously
