If Suarez didn't make it to the Finals does it increase or decrease our chances of getting out of our Group, or winning the thing?
would say slightly increases our chances of making it out of the group after that its a matter or luck and penalties Wink
Uruguay's attacking threat would be lessened, but they would still have players like Edinson Cavani to look out for.

I don't think Suarez being injured would affect our chances of getting out of the group too much. Uruguay are still a dangerous team, England are still not world beaters. We need to perform either way.

As for our chances of winning the whole thing, the following teams are still better footballing sides than us: Spain, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, France, Holland and Portugal. Arguably Belgium also.

Anything other than a top drawer England team performance in every game will see us knocked out in the early knockout stages, if not before. I am excited to see how our young players, like Ross Barkley get on. Jack Wilshere will hopefully also get a chance to get our midfield working properly aswell, rather than just relying on Steven Gerrard spraying Hollywood passes about to everyone including the guy in row Z.
Klinsmann's getting a lot of stick in the USA for not picking Landon Donovan. USA have a tough group whatever.
brazil are overrated they won't get past the QF imo, neymar is skinny diving little shit, hulk is average, jo is a championship standard player, the only half decent striker they have is fred, fans don't win football matches the players on the pitch do

Don't see what being skinny has to do with it Big Grin He may be a diver but he's got quality. Hulk is far from average, on his day (he is inconsistent) he's one of the best out there, that left foot is wonderful. He assisted both of Freds goals against Spain. Jo is past his best but can still score an important goal. Fred is brilliant. Bernard is supposedly good too, then of course Willian and Oscar.

They may not be the best individually but as a team they're good and they will take some stopping.
Only 2 weeks to go! The Sao Paulo stadium hosting the opening game on 12 June is still not ready and last night Jérôme Valcke, Fifa’s chief executive, tweeted there was also a “race against the clock” for the Natal stadium to be finished in time for its first game on 13 June. However, the organisers in Brazil said today that there's no panic and everything will be ready in time.

If the worst happens they can always use jumpers for goalposts and play on the beach. I'm pretty sure that Brazil and FIFA will get there in time for the opening ceremony. We went through this with South Africa last time round.
