thought you were leaving?
Still one of the most exciting world cups i can remember, Good to see teams like Costa Rica, Algeria, USA do well and to teams like Chile and Colombia make some great games.

For me game of the Tournament was Germany vs Ghana, it had it all.

And my worst was obvious Wink
to be the called the best ever you have to play well and win the world cup, not just win the world cup, poldoski has won a world cup FFS what did he do? but players like ronaldo, suarez and james Rodriguez will never win the world cup
Fernando Torres has won a world cup too Big Laugh
Torres in his prime was probably one of the best strikers in the world before his injury...

and Don't forget Draxler too Joey, he won it too Wink

and Luke Chadwick has won more prem titles than Steven Gerrard, so surely Gerrard can't be considered as one of the best ever in the prem as he hasn't won the prem, if messi played great in this tournament and they were unlucky tonight i might have said he's the best of all time even though he didn't win the world cup, if the game went to pens and arg won he would have won the world cup even though he played shit tonight, that don't mean he's the best ever just cos he won the world cup, it is about performance for individuals it's not always about winning trophies, lots of average players have won trophies and great players haven't

better still, make a 5th place playoff with the losing quarter-finalists taking part
3rd place play off for the FA Cup? Probably could work but when would you play it & would you have that at Wembley the week before or something, or at a neutral venue earlier in the week?

They used to have a 3rd/4th play off for the FA Cup in the early '70's.
1970-1974.Some games were played on the eve of the final ,some at the start of the next season .They were scrapped after the 1974 one due to a lack of interest.
I think Russia has to go some to match this tournament in 2018 that's for sure!!
Until we find a way to put all our footballing problems under one roof or under one association, we will always be light years behind the rest of the world. I can't see how Dyke's blueprint can work if he can't get the PL on board and supporting it. To me the PL needs to be restructured from the inside too as swell as the FA. also the supporters' association should be given a seat on the board at both the FA and PL so that OUR concerns are heard way better than they probably have done in the past as it is our hard earned cash that keeps some clubs in existence. Incidentally does anyone know how many clubs
folded last season?

The only thing we should be worrying about how much are we paying for tickets this coming season. I guess not many PL teams will be freezing/cutting prices that's for sure.
