Erm... Ok I never kick people when they're down, even though you seemingly took much delight in doing just that when England went out.

But really?

Now, I would never claim to know everything about football, or that I'm some kind of expert. But if I know one thing, it's that you should never, EVER assume that Germany will be swept aside easily, if at all!

It's true that Willian wasn't playing, and many people are suggesting that one man wouldn't have made any difference. Not true. One man can make a difference. But that man is NOT Willian. Anyone who has played football at any level will tell you that a great centre half can be the difference between the whole defence being rock solid, and the whole defence being a complete shambles. Thiago Silva was your one man. Neymar is a great talent but with a defence conceding 7, I doubt he would've had the answer.

What would've happened if Silva had played? I don't know, no one ever will. But honestly, I suspect that even then Germany would've proved too much for Brazil. But they may have avoided this absolute hammering. Put simply, they are just too good.
It was a light hearted comment i was joking with bytor, I am not stupid I knew this would be a very hard game... I was not born yesterday...

And Scolari got it all wrong and he played on Neymar being out too much, all the extra pressure he put on the team saying win it for Neymar ect, and Constatly playing unfit Fred, who I feel sorry for as people make him as scapegoat when the service he got was very poor.

Bernard tried very hard tonight and I was impressed with his effort. And Cesar in Goal can not be blamed at all. Luiz was very poor in Defence and Maicon should never have been in the Squad ahead of Felipe Luiz and Guys like Danilo and Alex Sandro who didn't even make it.

you had to play fred as you have no other decent strikers, it was either him or Jo FFS, i told you before the world cup even started that you didn;t have any good attacking players, and tonight your defense which was the best part of the brazil team in this world cup were totally blown to pieces, players like coutinho and kaka would have offered more than players like hulk, gustavo and paulinho
Hulk is a Striker he plays as a Striker for Zenit and did for Porto a lot of times, Lima should have been picked from Benfica aswell, like I said we did not have to play Fred, he didn't play well but he was injued all season, it is unfair to blame him, Scolari is to blame...

I'm quite tempted to call bullsh!t on that, but I'll take your word for it because honestly even if it was a light hearted comment, it's a light hearted comment that you will be unlikely to make again in future should similar fixtures arise.

And like I say, I'm not kicking you when you're down. Because that's what football fans do, and most football fans are idiots. Idiots waiting to kick the people who kicked them when they themselves were down. And it just goes back and forth like a boring, grammatically sh!te pendulum.

Also, being an England fan, there is a big chance that we will always be down. Getting kicked. We even have to take the flak for what our media says!

Brazil are different though. It is likely that Brazil will recover from this, and this will just become a blip, a freak occurence. Now is Germany's time. Germany have always been a force in world football. Right now, we are possibly witnessing their best ever team. In terms of entertainment value, I would rate them even higher than Spain 2007-2012. As impressive as they were, playing the simple ball until you score one, and then playing the simple ball until the final whistle can get a bit tedious.

Banging 7 goals past Brazil in a semi-final? I don't even know what that is!
Like I said I was Joking with bytor as he knows me better than a lot of people on here...

Please tell me you're joking.

Even the Germans themselves would laugh at that comment.

It was just a light hearted comment Wink

Nah honestly, I do think that. If only in terms of entertainment value I think this is the best German team I've watched.

I thought he was retiring after this tournament anyway.

Ok even though my original post was light hearted and not really meant to be taken seriously I shall rephrase. Guessing Scolari will be retiring by the morning.
