I can't see how Dyke's blueprint can work if he can't get the PL on board and supporting it. To me the PL needs to be restructured from the inside too as swell as the FA. also the supporters' association should be given a seat on the board at both the FA and PL so that OUR concerns are heard way better than they probably have done in the past as it is our hard earned cash that keeps some clubs in existence. Incidentally does anyone know how many clubs
folded last season?
The only thing we should be worrying about how much are we paying for tickets this coming season. I guess not many PL teams will be freezing/cutting prices that's for sure.
Will never happen. Why do you say we are light years behind everyone else in the world? On a domestic level the Premiership is one of the best and the championship can hold its own against similar leagues. If you mean at a national level then the Premier League are not overly interested in the national team. Its not their concern. They are interested in promoting their own league and generating as much income as they can for themselves and the clubs they represent. Also what would be the point of inviting supporters associations. What would they offer professionally that would move the national game on? You only have to look in here at all the armchair experts who each have a differing opinion on football and how to cure its problems.
England did what two other teams in their group did not manage in not losing to Costa Rica. They were no worse than Italy or Spain and don't forget they qualified in the first place in order to have their under achieving tournament. The World Cup doesn't start in June every four years. It starts two years before where you have to earn the right to reach 'the finals'. Plenty of teams didn't get that far.
