Brazil were convincingly good going forward last night. There weakness for me is the left side of defence with Marcelo and Luiz both caught out too often.
And that's something Chile will be keen to exploit when they meet!! Roy's made nine changes for today's game. and some are good changes too. Whether they will effect a positive end to this campaign will we have to see. The key move is starting with Lampard for this one for me. But on the whole, I very much hope that Stevie will stick around for the qualifiers for the Euros as I think he will inspire the young players around him. But I think that this has been his last major international tournament. But we need to get that defence in far better shape for the qualifiers.
But whether any further questions will be asked of Roy's future will depend on the result today. I know I said earlier in this thread that wasn't the man to be in charge sacked for the Euros, but I do think that if England suffer a third defeat then I wonder if the FA would feel any different about his position if that was to happen.
what we need in the next 2 years is for one of the big 4 clubs is to buy and use all english back 4 for the next 2 seasons wont happen though Jamie carragher had it right in one of his digs at gary neville at the start of the season thats the problem nobody wants to be a gary neville ie no one really wants to be a defender they just end up there
So far the officiating has been terrible. So many bad decisions...

I would agree that some decisions have bee questionable. Although I would like to see technology used for such purposes in the game, I would fear it would bring more problems than it would solve. But it has to be done in the way that referees are happy with.

i think the slating of the defence has been OTT, 2 years ago we defended very well but our attacking threat was non existent, we've always been a poor version of italy we can't win ugly, perhaps if we had the defence of 2 years ago and the attack of this year we would have done better, but i don't remember people being upset when JT retired 2 years ago, then suddenly JT has his best season last season for 5 years and people wanted him back, i bet if rooney quit now then went onto have 2 great seasons for man utd people would want rooney back for the euros if other strikers are not on form, im not sure about gerrard he has been the flop of the team imo, he may have had a good season last season according to blind liverpool fans but they let in 50 goals last season and how many goals from open play did he score? he's not the gerrard of 5-10 years ago who burst forward and blasted one in from 30 yards out, carrick would have been a better option to have i think for that position gerrard is playing now but he's getting on as well so not one for the future but we do need some experience
Barkley will be the player to watch tonight I really do hope he performs on this big stage
At last some consistency. Wilshire going down looking injured Rolleyes He is this generations Darren 'sicknote' Anderton. Talented but hardly ever fit.
Glad England are going home. Smalling is terrible, why is milner playing? sterling should come on for milner to inject some pace
