Currently 5/2.
Doesn't matter 2-0 to Germany now

Spoke too soon 2-1 now
Would love to see Switzerland overturn Argentina and the USA overturn Belgium but I think the USA have the better chance of the upset
The Quarter finals shaping up nicely, but still think the Brazil Colombia game will be the stand out game for me as Brazil have to really step up to the Mark.
France v Germany would love to see France put Germany under pressure and I think Germany were pushed hard by Algeria last night. for all the problems with this competition I think Brazil 2014 has been the most open, exciting competition for a long time and that I largely because of the atmosphere that has been provided by the crowds. It is a shame that we have to read of allegations of match - fixing surrounding Cameroon's fixtures. did any of you guys suspect anything looked strange about those games?
I haven't seen many teams good enough to win the competition yet.
Brazil are totally dependant on one man & Germany were very poor yesterday.
Seven players from the Cameroon squad are being investigated for match-fixing. Particularly in regards to the 4-0 defeat and red card against Croatia.

The Germans missed Hummels at the back they were very shaky in defence. France vs Germany will be a big game along with Colombia vs Brasil !

I have very much enjoyed the World Cup so far. A lot of the so called lesser teams have caught up, which makes for some less predictable and exciting matches.

Some of the politics still baffle me - like the attention Robben received after his dive. It's wrong, but there must have been 50 dives by players in that game alone - punish him and surely you must punish every other dive in the tournament.

Which brings me to my pet hate - diving; flopping or cheating as I call it. There is a good article here, which brings up many good points. In particular:

"There are some players who act as if they've lost a limb when they get grazed by an opponent," wrote Nancy Armour in the USA Today newspaper.

"Others spend so much time writhing on the ground it looks as though their jerseys are on fire. It's unbecoming and has to stop."

So angered was the Wall Street Journal by the diving taking place in this World Cup, they undertook a study to find out which team play-act the most. The newspaper calculated that during the first 32 games of the tournament, 302 players went to ground, apparently in pain.

These theatrics took up a total of 132 minutes of "writhing time". According to the report, there were nine genuine injuries in a total of 302, leaving 293 cases of "simulation".

Anyway, still a great tournament. Cheers!

It's good that Americans are so interested these days and are writing about the World Cup so much.
