It is certainly flattering score line but I don't think that we played particularly well

You need to think before you post mate Fernandez was only making a fair point yet you seem to attack him at every opportunity. I don't think his nationality should be brought into question. I don't think he ever mentioned Brazil.
i know he didn't mention brazil i did, and i was saying would brazil have done much better last night like win 7 or 8-0 for example, Uruguay only beat northern ireland 1-0 today albeit with no godin and suarez, do people still fear them? friendlies mean nothing
When you are playing a friendly in Preperation for a world cup that's less than 2 weeks away of course it means something, why do you ask if we would win 7 or 8 - 0? again your being completely stupid crying out for a reaction and looking for an argument, let me tell you now, i'm not arguing with you, i'm TELLING you, we more than likely would have won 3, 4 - 0 but played a lot more convincing and with an actual system that worked and controlled the game a lot better than England did... you play like you did last night in Brasil against anybody and you will be going home at the first oppourtunity....

Better finishing by Peru last night you would have lost or drawn at best against Peru's second team, any team with half decent strikers and they would have scored atleast 2 past you last night, so you saying that this friendly meant nothing proves you are either naieve or just not very clever, no I am not a football pundit but the Official pundits and professionals in your country all seem to agree with me so....

That's all I have to say to you about it
really? brazil's strongest area of their squad is their defence, you would have probably won 3-0 playing average like we did, people always say a win is a win then moan when we play average and win, i notice you haven't criticised Uruguay for only beating N ireland 1-0, how long is your list of excuses for them? i can't understand how a team can win 3-0 but you say peru had better chances, correct me if im wrong but the 3 chances we had we converted into goals, people always seem to ignore that fact, peru fucked their 2 best chances up
England v Peru did not fill me with confidence, two weeks ahead of the World Cup. But let us not pretend that this was a match of huge importance. It was a useful exercise to get the players moving again, why else would all the international teams be doing it?

Plus, as an England fan... being vocally disgusted about a performance in which we won 3-0, albeit with a fairly modest performance, would be tantamount to suggesting that we expect anything more of our current England team. This is NOT a team that has inspired us in recent times.

Be happy with the win. What is the alternative?

As for the Brazil comparison. We are NOT Brazil. Hell, even Brazil aren't Brazil right now.

Positives:

a) Sturridge took his goal well

b) We looked a bit more exciting when the likes of Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling came on.

Negatives:

a) Unless we take a risk and put these young players in, our play will be too predictable and any World Cup team will read us like a book.

b) The defence isn't looking particularly strong, and there are no better options. The best English defensive players available to Hodgson were on the pitch.

c) Danny Welbeck.

Rolleyes Big Laugh
jo, hulk, fred and neymar are deadly im shitting myself
Wayne Rooney has played 8 matches at World Cups without scoring - more than any other England forward in the competition's history.
Media reports are saying that Rooney is playing left wing in the next match with Ross Barkley taking his place in the middle.
