It's not like he mentions it every 10 minutes he is commentating. laugh
I think it would be nice if he was given a wild card entry to this years competition Tongue

Having been there myself many times I can fully vouch for what a special place it really is for the sport I love so much. The Cliff Thorburn 147 is still the one moment for me. Started with a fluke, big Bill Werbeniuk peering round the dividing wall and the immortal words of Jack Karnehm "Good luck mate' on the final black.
What an amazing series of dramas have played out in that wonderful arena Heart.
Caught up with this today. Kinda glad they phased it how they did, to rather scramble through the latter half of the list in a blur. Some of those post 98 finals are lost on me, I was surprised when it turned out Ding had made the final BlushSurprised
Peter Ebdon on Five live Sport now. It was sad to hear him talking as he did, but, I think he has done the right thing.

I wish him all the very best for the future.
Some tournament starts on June 1st apparently, presumably for all those who make it through the new qualifying ("yes, I'm happy to risk my life here because it's still better than going to Saudi Arabia")
The Championship League.
Starts 1st of June with various measures in place at the venue.

Snooker is back on the telly.Big Grin

It's the Championship League Snooker tonight. Trump v Wells.

It's so weird not having a crowd, trainers, managers and friends in the theatre. There's not even the annoying cougher.

I should hope not! Surprised

I bet Hearn's pleased to get telly coverage for a pretty minor event. Whether ITV4 are going "cool, that eats up 8+ hours of a schedule nicely" I wonder.
It is rather weird not having the crowd.
But I am just happy to have live snooker back on my telly in the knowledge various important safeguards have been put in place. Plenty of hours coverage every day too.
Excellent stuff.
They've at least worked out a schedule to leave the excitingest matches to the last too (though the final Lisowski-Brecel frame where there was nothing to play for got a bit silly the other night).
