Why not set up an overhead projector that can beam an image of the original ball positions straight down onto the table, then they could get it exactly right every time.
It's truly idiotic that they can do groovy things with Hawkeye, but they still can't solve this one properly. Especially when it seems to be the ref can't look at a screen himself to check, just rely on the other official!
It reminds me of the Chuckle Brothers. To you, to me.
The Semi Finals:

Shaun Murphy leads Barry Hawkins 6-2 after the opening session of their best of 33 frame semi final.
Hawkins had chances in both the opening two frames but lost them both as Murphy was clinical in the balls.
2-0 turned into 3-0 and had Murphy not gone in off on the final black in frame 4 it would have been 4-0.
After the interval Murphy then knocked in a couple of centuries and took the last of the session from behind to claim an early advantage. Hawkins with work to do.

Trump v Bingham at 7pm tonight.
So to the evening session where Trump took a nervy first frame.
The Bristolian then made a 64 break only for Bingham to counter with a 65 clearance.
Trump retook the lead before breaks of 89 and 74 helped Bingham reel off 3 straight frames for a 4-2 lead as Trump was starting to look somewhat ragged.
A 75 break helped reduce the arrears back to one frame but the man from Basildon took the final frame of the session with a one visit frame winning break to seal a 5-3 lead going into the second session tomorrow afternoon.
™ pretty good for Trump given he had his worst session of tournaments to be only 5-3 down after 1st session. Shaun Murphy looking good to win with session to spare against Hawkins leading 13-3.

Judd seems to be trying to force the play and it is leading to some questionable choices of shots from him
Murphy to do an Alex Higgins and get a 2nd title 10 years after his 1st? Sad
Shaun Murphy now leading Barry Hawkins 16-8 after the evening session. Hawkins showed real heart and pride to win the session 5-3 knocking in two centuries along the way. But Murphy requires just one more frame to reach the final.

In the other semi final Judd Trump and Stuart Bingham shared the second session 4-4 to keep the match intriguingly poised at 9-7 to Bingham. Both men battled for supremacy but neither was able to truly assert their authority and a potential classic could be on the cards.
Credit to Hawkins, but Fatboy's looking a strong favourite for the title now.
So to the third session of Trump v Bingham and it truly was a session with a beginning, middle and end.
Trump came out and won the first two frames of the morning with two excellent breaks to level at 9-9.
But the Basildon potter came storming back in superb fashion to reel off 4 frames in a row to lead 13-9 and leave Trump in real peril.
However frame 23 could end up being a critical frame for the Bristolian if he is able to complete a fightback.
Bingham conceded 36 penalty points in fouls when trying to escape from snookers. Even then he had a chance to win the frame but missed the final pink which Trump duly potted to close to 13-10.
Trump then won the last of the session to square it 4-4 and leave the stage set for a desperate push for the line this evening. Hold on to your hats, it could be a late finish.
Shaun Murphy has duly completed a 17-9 win over Barry Hawkins to take his place in the World Championship Final.
