Yeah, the '94 final was one I watched at the time, and like a nightmare, not one I was all that interested in reliving.

The 84 final was interesting for its rarity, while the 85 final doesn't get boring, no matter how much they try. Imagine if Davis had won; Hearn would have been a lot poorer in the long run.
Any number of Cliff Thorburns matches from 1983 could have been shown.
His 2nd round 13-12 win against Terry Griffiths not only featured the first ever Crucible 147 but a marathon final session that finished at 3.51am. Then he beat Canadian compatriot Kirk Stevens 13-12 and Tony Knowles 16-15.
Maybe if the proper thing does happen at the start of August, they could run additional shows if they've got the archive like The Best of Cliff Thorburn or John Spencer or Dennis Taylor or Bill Werbeniuk or etc
Yes thats an excellent idea Doddle Smile.

Best of Bill Werbeniuk could be interesting.
Go for the matches where he drinks the most pints laugh
Must say getting bored of Hendry beating White day after day.
Move on BBC please.
You'd have imagined they'd show Parrott's win, since it never turns up otherwise.
Probably to stop him commenting on how good looking he was back then!! laugh laugh Tongue

Legend has it, it took 16 pints so he could hold his cue to start the match, and averaged around 30 pints a match
Looking back at todays offering it really was some comeback from Ken Doherty.
15-9 down to win 17-16.

But of course a profound sense of sadness remains that the victim of that result was the late Paul Hunter.
Taken from snooker and from us all far too young Sad. You will never be forgotten Paul.
Rest in peace.
