Another tournament starts today on ITV4!

Ronnie O'Sullivan in commanding form tonight against Marco Fu in the Champion of Champions Tournament in Coventry.
3-0 up already with breaks of 75, 71 and 62.

Make that 5-0 after further breaks of 61 and 60.

Great to see Ali Carter return to snooker today with a standing ovation on his entrance.

Sadly he didn't get into the match and lost 4-0 to Neil Robertson.

Robertson has played well today though so every credit.
Leading Ricky Walden 5-3 in a quality evening match.

The final of the Champion of Champions Tournament will be between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump after both won their semi final matches 6-4 over Ding Junhui and Neil Robertson respectively.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has retained his title in Coventry after defeating Judd Trump 10-7.
A barrage of breaks in the opening session allowed the 'Rocket' to claim a 3 frame lead after the first session at 6-3.
In the evening O'Sullivan cleared the table from 61-0 down to go 7-3 and promptly won the next frame to go 8-3.
Trump was not finished however and surged back into contention before O'Sullivan won the last few frames to win the title again.

The television stages of the UK Championship start this Saturday. This year the semi finals have been reduced to best of 11 which means all matches aside from the Final are best of 11 with the final still the best of 19 frames.

Ronnie O'Sullivan apparently broke his ankle out running, played 1st match but has said he was in so much pain he will put out of tournament if he doesn't feel better by time of next match

World champion Mark Selby dumped out of the tournament today by Irishman David Morris 6-4.
