Quarter Final Draw:

Ronnie O'Sullivan v Stuart Bingham

Shaun Murphy v Judd Trump

--------------------------------------------

Ding Junhui v Barry Hawkins

Michael White v Ricky Walden

Robert Milkins produced a great fightback from 9-3 down but ultimately it was in vain as Ricky Walden held him off to win 13-11.
Ronnie O'Sullivan in blistering form in his first session of his quarter final against Stuart Bingham.
Undoubtedly the best session performance of the championship saw him reel off breaks of 79, 111, 88, 133 and 78.
Had the cue ball under a spell.
Genius snooker that only O'Sullivan could produce left Bingham trailing 7-1 with a mountain to climb.
Elsewhere Ricky Walden leads 6-2 against Michael White while Barry Hawkins has a two frame cushion over Ding Junhui at 5-3 up going into this evenings second session.
An out of sorts Judd Trump has work to do trailing Shaun Murphy 6-2 as they resume this evening.
Trump levelled at 8-8. I hope he keeps this up to win.

Ding still trailing at 9-7. Wouldn't be sorry to see the back of him.
Barry Hawkins was the first to make the semi finals completing an impressive 13-7 win over Ding Junhui .
Next came a dramatic nailbiting final frame win for Judd Trump over Shaun Murphy after a quite superb final session in which both players hit top form. This will be Trump's second Crucible semi final where he will meet Ronnie O'Sullivan in a semi final which will be box office viewing.
The 'Rocket' completed an emphatic 13-4 trouncing of Stuart Bingham.
The last to get through was Ricky Walden who after years of Crucible appearances where he had lost in the first round every time has finally reversed that trend emphatically with a 13-6 victory over bright young Welsh prospect, Michael White.

The semi final draw then is:

Ronnie O'Sullivan v Judd Trump

Ricky Walden v Barry Hawkins
Ding & Fats Murphy gone! Whee!

A shame Ronnie's doing his self-pitying "imma gonna exit" routine. Damn fool does more false goodbyes than a 3rd-rate cabaret star.
the only thing what pisses me off with trump is when he whacks em and sometimes misses the balls seems to go safe more often than not. hes a great player though and u need that bit of luck, but hope Ronnie will beat him but not sure if he will.
Ronnie certainly had run of the balls in first session against Trump
If Trump can maintain good matchplay snooker and score heavily every time he gets in he may cause a surprise.
But he needs to play no mistake snooker otherwise Ronnie will break away.
Hawkins struggled desperately in his first session against Walden. His cueing was tentative in the extreme. The occasion may have got to him somewhat.

yeah rite Rolleyes and first frame of this mornings session iv already seen him smash 2 balls and got lucky kisses each time he missed and gone safe again. the guys a major talent and hes gonna win many worlds probably this 1 to start with but I just wish when he did take on these judd specials and he misses that he wouldn't get away with it the amount of times he does!

I cant see Ronnie breaking away from him, especially with trumps long potting and ronnies still not got his long eye in, although he played better against bingham in that department. i don't think it will be a surprise if trump beats Ronnie, hes certainly got the game and talent and beat him before.
