really hope Higgins can see this through. the bbc commentators have spent the last two weeks in Selby's corner claiming even the most routine, mundane shots as the work of a god.

I dont i hate Higgins dont know why never got over the match fixing allegations and the betting scandal.

Selby wins 6 out of the 7 frames this afternoon to take a 13-11 lead into the final session.

Lets have a 17-17 respotted black in the final frame finish.

still not sure if that black ball moved one angle makes it look like it does and the others dont. just glad it didnt put mark selby off.

I was surprised when someone on commentary said there hadn't been a final frame decider for 15 years. Because they harp on about the '85 final so often (with good reason, admittedly), you kind of assume it's a regularity.

Disappointed with Selby winning, really. I think there's something about his "I'm a cheeky chappy, jester from Leicester" act that jars with his "i'm a gritty match player who'll bore his opponents to defeat if it helps" delivery.
