Anthony Hamilton beat Ryan Day 6-4 in what was effectively the 1st quarter-final. It seems an odd format, but nice that the two first-timers got through their openers to make something of their first (and possibly last) appearance.

Tubs Murphy beat Michael White 6-4

Luca Brecel whitewashed Judd Trump and then beat Mark Selby 6-4.
