Impressive comeback from Ricky Walden last night, a real ground-out result Smile
Yes, I watched that - don't they know there's other things on at that time of night though. The inconsideration Huh Wink
Selby-Higgins was even better! Credit to both guys, that final frame "had it all".
Demolition job by Ronnie - 58 minutes for the entire match over Ricky Walden. Looks like grinding wasn't the tactic to go for this time.
Should be an interesting final between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Mark Selby.
Selby shut Murphy out in the semi final and played much better than in previous while Ronnie saw off an out of sorts and impatient Stephen Maguire 6-2.
Selby has a decent record against Ronnie and I doubt it will be an easy match for either man.
Glad it went this way, as Murphy and Maguire are two of the dullest people in the game.
Selby a class act, still fighting even when all was lost. But all credit to Ronnie in victory Smile
The World Snooker shootout started last night and already some high profile exits.
Selby, Maguire and White already out along with last years champion Martin Gould.
After a thrills and spills tournament 'The Spaceman' Dominic Dale has claimed victory in the World Snooker Shootout.
The shot clock caused much pandemonium throughout the event particularly when it went to ten seconds a shot laugh. Thinking time severely limited and at times players were rushed into any old shot just to avoid a foul with cue ball in hand for the opponent. Comiserations to runner up Stuart Bingham who showed again in this event under shot clock conditions as a Premier League champion.
Very enjoyable stuff Big Grin.
Watched some of the German Masters (?) on Eurosport this week. Odd set-up, they seemed to have one central table for the TV cameras, with 6 others in an outer circle around it, which must be really distracting for players and any audience.

Anyway, Ding beat Judd 9-5 in the final for his 4th ranking title of the season, the first man since Hendry to do that.
