Presuming that they are going to announce the Doctors first name then in this finale, as we have known his surname is Who for 50 years now Wink

Yes, but she thinks his name is sweetie anyway Rolleyes
I've got a feeling that I recognize that flash of yellow.. was it the Third Doctor's car - was it called Bessie or something like that? Plus that looks like a glimpse of the Sixth Doctor (colourful coat) in the background in the earlier picture?
yep regenerated has got it. it's the third doctor's car which was called Bessie in the trailer and yep it is the sixth doctor in the background of the clara pic I posted

think that we'll see some former doctors in the finale on Saturday to set up the 50th anniversary episode in november
Got a bit behind this time, just catching up now. Watched the one set in Victorian Yorkshire last night.

Anyone else think they're building up to another spin-off series featuring Lizard Girl, the ninja chambermaid and Mr Potatohead? laugh

Supposedly, Moffat wants that but the BBC don't.

I'm siding with the BBC on that one.
sarah jane adventures and torchwood should be the only spinoff, there was a potential one back when tenant was the dr in the dr's daughter episode.

i would like them do a series which has only one story line with a single enemy which would give the show a proper direction and each episode should end with a cliffhanger which leaves the viewer wanting to see the next episode. the writers should have a look at the killing, the bridge, revenge, spartacus etc. to see how a single story line series is written and developed.
I did wonder if they were, in fact, going to be the replacement for the Sarah Jane Adventures the way they were playing them for laughs.

I don't really see any harm in making a kids show out of those characters, if that was the plan.
