Watched the third one last night.
It was good, for the most part. Liked the story, and the toymaker, not sure about the rest of it.

Looks like they're going to try and create a whole 'Marvel style' franchise (UNIT's shiny new HQ doesn't look at all like Tony Stark's tower Rolleyes )

We'll have to see how that goes...

I wasn't totally sold on Ncuti Gatwa in The Giggle but he and Millie Gibson rather rescued the Christmas Special from a camp cheesy affair in quite an enjoyable romp.

Ncuti certainly showed the charisma and gravitas to pull off being the new face of Doctor Who, and dispel the thought of Tennant still rattling about somewhere. I'd say he's pulled off being the first brand new kind of Doctor, not copying past ones, since Tom Baker. Both he and Millie have the energy to actually make you look forward to a new series for a change

The new regulars are quite good, other elements completely terrible.
Just watched the William Hartnell episodes of The Crusade on BBC iplayer. There are only 2 of the 4 episodes there, with no animation or anything to bridge the gaps in the story. Despite this, the script is very good, very Shakespearian; and the acting from the likes of Julian Glover and Jean Marsh is very strong. Well worth a watch even if the story isn't complete.
The ever lovely Louise Jameson for the Season 15 Collection. Not one of the best seasons, I feel the beginnings of Tom Baker's long downward slide but still a couple good uns in Horror Of Fang Rock and the satirical for the times The Sunmakers

Variety are reporting Millie Gibson is out & will be placed by Varada Sethu who played rebel Cinta Kaz in Andor

Its so surprising that on the one hand you wonder if its true but the fact that they have a name as a replacement as opposed to just Gibson leaving makes me think its legit.
^ looks like RTD is repeating what he did with Freema Agyeman, intentionally establishing Martha Jones as a regular companion for a season only before guest and spinoff appearances.

Whether it's a good idea is another question Rolleyes
Back in May, apparently Smile
