BBC has officially launched the DR Who: Whoniverse on iplayer. Basically it's everything DR Who in one place including classic Dr Who, Modern Dr Who & the various spinoffs like Torchwood
Is it free or do we need to pay?
It's free on BBC iplayer but you won't find the very first William Hartnell story An Unearthly Child on it because of a dispute with the Writers Guild who say the BBC can't stream it unless they pay the estate of the writer Antony Coburn a royalty fee. Coburn's son refuses to accept one because he doesn't want the BBC to stream it.
(Edit: Post referenced was removed so I have removed my response to it.)
BBC4 ran "Talking Doctor Who" last night, with Dave the Tenannt introducing clips of the first 8 Drs talking a bout the show in interviews n stuff; followed by a proper concert fronted by Smiley Whiley and some band. iPlayer presumably might have them, or they might get repeated, who knows?
There's something on iplayer called Talking Dr Who which seems to be the documentary you are referring to. But if I have time it'll be the Dr Who episodes I've never seen before that I'll be watching.

I thought I'd seen every classic Dr Who episode available on UK Gold when they were showing them. It looks like iplayer is showing episodes of Dr Who that weren't available then and filling in the gaps in the story with animated episodes.
New Poster
It's officially 60 years today since we all rather uninvitedly burst into a cranky old geezer's strange humming police box in a Trotters Lane junkyard. From there to prehistoric Earth, then to a seemingly dead alien world began a historic journey through time and space. Happy Birthday Doctor Who

The new colour version of the first Dalek story broadcasts on BBC4 tonight at 7.30pm (and iPlayer of course)
Really enjoyed that this evening Smile
